Cafe Voi La: Dine Among the Pines

A beautiful, cozy and heart-warming place to dine at Tagaytay. Cafe Voi La serves us with Asian Fusion cuisine. A perfect place for people looking for good food, cool weather and tranquility.

Cafe Voi La have heavenly cakes that Patrick had me taste before but I never had a chance to actually eat at the restaurant until a few days ago. I got so excited because Patrick kept on telling me about the place and that I should try their salmon. Mhhmm, SALMON. :)

After making ourselves ready and set. We were served with FREE FOOD (lol). Breads with tomato & olive oil dip. No, sorry really I don’t know what ingredients used for the dip, I made all that up. Patrick, ate the other bread already.

First on our plate.. Special Senator’s Salad [P395], assorted green lettuce, paper thin slice of smoked salmon, grilled prawns, shitake mushroom and granished with parmesan shavings.

Wow two of my favorites in one! Mhmmm, salmon and shrimp.. This salad is definitely a yes for me! :D

This one’s for Patrick.. what do they call this again? Oh, the Massaman Back Ribs [P695].... The name of the meal itself is already mouthwatering.. Braised beef short rib with Massaman curry and Potato puree. The beef is tender, soft and melts in the mouth said Patrick... I had a few bites and I must say it’s good as well. I liked how the curry blends with the beef, even if it was new to my taste. So yes for their back ribs!

On my plate, Grilled Norweigan Salmon [P595] in Beurre Blanc sauce served with mashed potato and steamed vegetables. Salmon, the reason why Patrick wanted me to eat here at Cafe Voila... I must say, he did a great job on bringing me to Cafe Voila! Hahaha....

Looking at these photos make me want to drive to Tagaytay and have some healthy Norwegian salmon. It didn’t disappoint me, plus I like mashed potatoes very much too.

We still had some food left when we suddenly felt we were full, but I didn’t back down and ate all of my salmon.. I really wanted to have some of their cakes after but we were too full so we walked around a bit and took more photos of the place.

Here’s a bar were you can choose from over a list of drinks, I must say they offer quite a number of beverages and food. Their menu had so many, I’m glad I was with Patrick who knows what food to order.

Time for the most-awaited, must-try desserts.... Cafe Voi La makes some yummy home-made cheesecakes with over 7 flavors to choose from (Salted Caramel, Oreo, Blueberry, Tiramisu, Nutella, Apple Crumble, Maple Bacon). I’ve tasted the salted caramel and nutella before, opted for Nutella on that day because chocolate. The two flavors I’ve tried taste really good, the others is for you to discover (if you’d like, maybe me too) | Nutella Cheesecake [P195 per slice, P1500 for the whole cake.]
